POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for the daily manufacturing of chemical products in accordance with required production operating procedures and schedule demands. Transports and charges raw materials into machines from staged area in warehouse. Follows operating procedures for charging, processing, sampling, and packaging of products. Monitors, tests, filters and prepares product and packaging containers for final product staging for warehouse or outbound deliveries. Cleans and maintains equipment and work area. May also work in other production areas as needed.
Works 90 days through temporary agency then transition to regular hire.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates forklift and pallet jack to move raw materials to charging room from staged warehouse area where they are suspended with a crane for charging to vessels for processing.
Communicates with team members on shift and from other shifts regarding process and to complete production according to the production schedule and written operating procedures.
Tests, samples and measures product according to established procedures and specifications for the scheduled product(s).
Maintains and cleans work area including floors, tables, walls and equipment daily.
Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education Requires a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience Typically requires six months minimum experience working packaging or other manufacturing capacity.
Computer Skills Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products: Outlook to regularly check emails. Proficiency in Word/Excel for trainings, track, log or record information or assist with updates to written procedures. Needs to be able to independently navigate between websites and computer systems to access training sites, data management system.

Other Requirements Prior experience using pallet jack and forklift preferred.

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): ANSI Z87+ Safety Glasses, N95 Respirator, Dust Mask, Non-Slip boots, hearing protection.
MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND
Continuous visual attention required in process of transporting raw materials, charging raw materials and monitoring machines in the grinding and grading production processes. Requires ability to do basic math problems mentally in the process. Requires constant awareness of production processes and attention to identify any possible defects or abnormalities to product, packaging or equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position works primarily in a chemical manufacturing / warehouse environment with exposure to mild dust nuisance, moderate noise. Some exposure to office area.
