POSITION SUMMARY
The Information Systems (IS) Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, coordination, and execution of both the development/application (DevOps) support team as well as the information technology operations (ITOps) team. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage multifunctional teams to ensure that IT systems, business applications, and development projects align with organizational goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a multifunctional team of employees, including developers, business application support staff, and IT professionals. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination between individuals within the team, other groups within the organization, and external stakeholders (where applicable).
- Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of business applications and IT infrastructure projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- System Maintenance and Support: Ensure that business applications and IT systems are reliable, secure, and meet the evolving needs of the organization. Manage ongoing support, troubleshooting, and upgrades for these systems.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement IT strategies that support the organization’s business objectives. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for the IT and development teams. Optimize resource allocation and cost management across projects and ongoing operations.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that all systems comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and security protocols. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to data security and system integrity.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between IT, development teams, and business units to ensure alignment and address any concerns or requirements. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and system performance.
- Asset Management: Monitors assets, their utilization, and performance to ensure systems and data are highly available and reliable.
- Active Participation: Actively participates in projects where skills align and additional resources are needed. Participates in various organizational groups to ensure
- Reporting: Develops and updates reports that will be presented to management team(s) to demonstrate continued progress against project, goal, personnel development, financial, and security objectives and strategies.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing IT and development teams, with a strong background in both technical and managerial roles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, interdepartmental, and project management skills.
- Deep understanding of business applications, IT infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with budgeting and resource management.
